Starman Chiropractic Center was founded in 1996 by Dr. Shannan Starman, who is now a well-established Alpharetta Chiropractor.  Starman Chiropractic Center began as a solo family practice, and has grown into a respected Sports Injury treatment center in the Alpharetta/Roswell area. 

Our Alpharetta Chiropractic office treats athletes and non-athletes alike, ranging in age from infants to seniors.  There is no such thing as someone who is too young or too old for Chiropractic care.  Different adjusting techniques are used to accommodate for different age groups, and different stages of spinal growth and development, or spinal degeneration in some seniors.  As a female Alpharetta Chiropractor Dr. Starman also specializes in treating pregnant women safely and effectively, with a specially designed adjusting table that accommodates the pregnant belly so there is no pressure on the baby.

Dr. Starman also has extensive experience in treating patients who may have had previous spinal surgery, including fusions, laminectomies, Harrington rods, and discectomies.  In these cases, particular care is given to obtaining recent imaging of the areas, such as MRIs, X-rays, CAT scans, or myelograms, to assess the condition of the spine and discs, and the precise location of the surgical procedure.  Many times patients who have had surgery may experience spinal complaints in other areas of the spine, in particular, the areas adjacent to the surgical site, and can benefit from gentle Chiropractic procedures in these locations if appropriate.

SCC is committed to providing the best care possible, and as a result, has some of the best technology available.  In-house x-ray suite, computerized spinal scanning (surface EMG) and Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy are a few examples of things not commonly seen in a typical Chiropractic practice.  Dr. Starman also specializes in foot problems and is equipped to build custom orthotics (shoe inserts) on the premises to correct biomechanical foot and ankle problems.
